Building 24 Live partners with fest to present jazz series
More talent has been added to the already star-studded Berks Jazz Fest lineup.
James Carter Organ Trio, Charlie Hunter & Scott Amendola, Les Paul Trio, and Jim Weider have been added to the festival lineup through a special jazz series being presented by Building 24 Live located in Wyomissing.
Carter is a powerhouse musician and one of the most admired saxophonists of his generation, garnering plaudits for his role in helping to propel jazz full tilt into the future over the past 25 years.
Guitarist Charlie Hunter (photo at left) and drummer Scott Amendola will surely give the Building 24 roof a serious stress test, as they do their level best to blow it straight off with their hard-driving grooves.
Building 24 is very excited to present the trio that accompanied the legendary Les Paul at the Iridium Jazz Club every Monday night until his passing in 2009.To this day, the Lou Pallo-led Les Paul Trio continues to play the Iridium.
Pallo may not be a household name but if you are a Les Paul fan, then he is instantly recognizable as the longtime rhythm guitarist of his backing trio. He met Les Paul during 1963 and they formed a music relationship shortly afterward.
Jim Weider, a master of classic telecaster guitar, is renowned for his rock and blues-based signature sound. He's earned enormous respect from fellow musicians and music fans throughout the world.
