The Boscov's Berks Jazz Fest is proud to announce a
partnership with the GoggleWorks
Center for the Arts, Reading
Musical Foundation, Project
Penske Jazz Education, Reading
Eagle/Voices, and the Berks Jazz
Jam to present a special
weeklong music education
experience during the festival,
featuring a dynamic mix of live
performances, workshops and film
for jazz fans of all ages.

Guitar legend Martin Taylor will perform at GoggleWorks
The Boscov's Berks Jazz Fest has added British guitar
legend Martin Taylor to the lineup.
Taylor will be part of the Get JazzED at the
GoggleWorks Center for the Arts program, performing
Saturday, April 6, at 1 p.m. The show will open with a
clinic, followed by a dynamic solo concert.
Taylor is a multi-award winning guitarist ,and Acoustic
Guitar magazine calls him "The Acoustic Guitarist of his
Generation."
He dazzles audiences with his solo shows, which combine
virtuosity, emotion, humor, and a strong stage presence,
while his inimitable style has seen him recognized as the
world’s foremost exponent of solo finger-style guitar
playing.
Taylor has invented and developed a way of playing the
guitar that is admired, and often imitated, by guitarists
from all over the world.

Chuck Loeb's String Training set for Thursday, April 11
Chuck Loeb will present his popular
guitar workshop -- String Training -- for musicians of all ages and levels
during the Boscov's Berks Jazz Fest.
String Training is set for Thursday, April 11, at the
GoggleWorks Center for the Arts located in Reading. The workshop will run from
11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The String Training session will address many of the
topics and challenges facing today’s guitarists including jazz, blues, rock and
fusion improvisation; chord structures and accompaniment; sight reading,
practice and study habits.
In this fourth edition of String Training, Chuck is
honored to be joined by fellow guitarists Oz Noy and Norman Brown.
The format will be interactive -- with instruction,
discussion, question and answer sessions, and student participation.
So bring your axe, your pick, your strings, and your
strap as we prepare you for the new season of guitar at Chuck Loeb’s String
Training -- cleats not required!

Tedeschi Trucks Band to play
post-fest concert in Reading
The Tedeschi Trucks Band, the 11-piece ensemble led by
husband-wife team Derek Trucks
and Susan Tedeschi, have proven
themselves one of the hottest,
most uplifting acts on the road
today.
The Boscov's Berks Jazz Fest and
BRE
Presents are
working together to "extend" the
festival and present the
Tedeschi Trucks Band on Sunday, April
28, 7:30 p.m., at the
Sovereign
Performing Arts Center
in Reading.

Formed in 2010 when Derek and Susan decided to set
aside their successful solo
careers and join forces,
Tedeschi Trucks Band has since
