Tickets going fast for the 'A Peter White Christmas' The annual Boscov's Berks Jazz Fest holiday show is a red-hot ticket. "A Peter White Christmas featuring Rick Braun and Mindi Abair" will be presented on Sunday, Dec. 2, at the Miller Center for the Arts located on the campus of Reading Area Community College. Butler, and McClurkinto headline special Gospel show The final concert of the Boscov's Berks Jazz Fest will be a special "Gospel According to Jazz Celebration," that will be headlined by Kirk Whalum, Jonathan Butler, and Donnie McClurkin. The concert is set for Sunday, April 14, 7 p.m., at the Scottish Rite Cathedral. "This is going to be an awesome concert," said Whalum, who will serve as musical director for the show that also will feature his band. "I really appreciate the Berks Jazz Fest for making it happen for the musicians and the fans." Whalum and Butler have been blending jazz and gospel music throughout their outstanding careers. Vocalist and minister Donnie McClurkin (photo) is one of the biggest names in gospel music. He has won three Grammy awards, 10 Stellar awards, two BET awards, two Soul Train awards, a Dove award and a NAACP Image award for his work.
