Just finished listening to a great CD -- Wycliffe Gordon's Hello Pops: A Tribute to Louis Armstrong.

Jazz trombonist Gordon celebrates the music of the jazz/music icon with the 15-track CD that takes you on a musical journey from Armstrong's days of the Hot Fives through the his famed All Stars.

In addition to playing the trombone, Gordon also sings, plays trumpet and tuba on the swinging recording. You will not be disappointed.

You can see Wycliffe Gordon and his quintet perform the Armstrong tribute live on Thursday, February 23, 7:30 p.m. at Kutztown University. The concert is part of the KU Presents series and will be held at the Ursa Minor's Cafe.
