Pianist David Benoit and guitarist Marc Antoine are both intriguing personalities of the smooth jazz genre. Together they produced perhaps the surprise album of 2017. So Nice! is their fiery contagious portrait of Latin jazz, a musical cohesion of two virtuosos in a lyrical walking through the magic land of Latin jazz.

The latest inspiring smooth jazz all-star pairing to explore the delightful possibilities of their shared passions.  Benoit and Antoine’s boldly melodic, rhythmically eclectic and seductively exotic dual album truly lives up to its playful name. Both trailblazing artists have scored with hit dual albums in the past — Benoit with Russ Freeman, Antoine with Paul Brown — but surpass the magic of those via their mutual love for Brazilian music and particularly, classic Bossa Nova.  Creating a powerful synthesis of their unique individual acoustic styles, the pianist and the guitarist artfully blend jubilant music, sweet romance and haunting melancholy vibes.

For three decades, Benoit has reigned supreme as one the founding fathers of contemporary jazz, amazing audiences with his dexterity on the piano.

Since emerging as a force in contemporary jazz in the mid-1990s with a trademark sound captured in the title of his debut album Classical Soul, Marc Antoine has shared his joyous musical wanderlust on a discography infused with extraordinary journeys with a deep melodic flow and exotic textures.
