2012 changes
: Advance tickets available for "Midnight Jams" hosted by Gerald Veasley

The Berks Jazz Fest committee has made two major changes regarding the popular "Round Midnight Jams" hosted by Gerald Veasley.

First, two jams have been added to the schedule. There are four "Round Midnight Jams" scheduled during the fest at Gerald Veasley's Jazz Base at the Crowne Plaza Reading: Friday, March 23; Saturday, March 24; Friday, March 30; and Saturday, March 31.

Second, the festival is making advance tickets available for all four jams. For each jam, 120 tickets will be sold in advance, with 40 tickets going on
sale the day of the jam.

"We made the decision to add two jams and to sell advance tickets to give
more fans a chance to attend one of the jams," said John Ernesto, Berks Jazz Fest general manager. "Having fans wait in line for a long period of time -- only to be turned away because the Jazz Base was at capacity -- was not fan friendly.

"With the two additional midnight jams and the advance ticket opportunity, we feel it is a better  process for our fans."
