RMF JAZZ JAM @BJF

Sponsored by the Reading Musical Foundation, the RMF Student Jazz Jam kicks off on the first Monday of the Berks Jazz Fest! Join us in the small ballroom starting at 6:00 PM for an exciting mini-concert by our clinicians, followed immediately by the student jam session. Pizza and water will be provided for all student performers. This event is completely FREE and open to the public!

The RMF Jazz Jam at Berks is:

• A Doc Mulligan Educational Event!

• An opportunity for students to meet and play jazz with professional musicians on the big stage at the Boscov’s Berks Jazz Fest!

• A way to learn more about jazz performance in a fun, supportive environment!

• A great way to meet musicians from other schools!

• A real-time way to learn jazz skills including improvisation, musical styles, performing as a unit, reading chord changes, keeping your place in a song, listening to each other, and more!

Drummers should bring sticks. Guitar and bass players bring their instruments and a cord. Keyboard will be provided.
